Lumps in the anal region - This is a common sign of external hemorrhoids. These lumps may become itchy and irritated. However, if the blood supply gets cut off and they develop a blood clot they become known as thrombosed external hemorrhoids.

You will definitely know if you have a thrombosed external hemorrhoid as this condition is very painful.

If you discover that you have external hemorrhoids and the problem is not severe, there are many home treatments that you can utilize to help your condition.
